Apple announced the launch date of the new iPhone 4 smartphone at the Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (or WWDC) 2010. Measuring a mere 9.3mm thick, the iPhone 4 will become the one of the thinnest smartphone nowadays, where it will features A4 chip, a 3.5-inch Retina display with multitouch, 960×640 resolution at 326ppi, 800:1 contrast ratio, a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p/30fps HD video recording and LED flash, and a front-facing camera for FaceTime iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 video call over Wi-Fi. Other features include a A-GPS/GPS, digital compass, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11n, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz quad-band HSPA/UMTS and quad-band GSM networks supports, and a three-axis gyro sensor and dual-mic noise cancellation. There also a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front and back.
